Obavijest o webinaru "Principles of Holographic Interferometry for non-destructive subsurface examination"

Poštovani studenti,

obavijest o online predavanju prenosimo u cijelosti:

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 2nd HS Academy Lecture of the series "Current Topics in Heritage Science" (CTinHS) to be held online on 20th October, 2022, at 3 pm (Rome time).

Vivi Tornari will deliver a lecture (30 minutes of webinar followed by Q&A session) on the topic: Principles of Holographic Interferometry for non-destructive subsurface examinationPlease find below the brief information about the event.

The lecture series “Current Topics in Heritage Science” of the IPERION HS Academy aims at providing online training on fundamental aspects of heritage science, such as techniques and methodologies, as well as on specific heritage typologies and other topics of interest to the field. The lectures are targeted at emerging professionals, such as students and young researchers, but also advanced conservators, curators, restorers, and other cultural heritage stakeholders.

The lectures are organized by a team of emerging professionals and are held online through Zoom webinar every third Thursday of the month, starting from September 2022. The attendance is free and the lectures are typically 30 min long, followed by Q&A.

You are invited to join "Current Topics in Heritage Science" Lecture 02/2022: Principles of Holographic Interferometry for non-destructive subsurface examination that will be delivered by Dr. Vivi Tornari on Thursday, October 20th, 2022, at 3.00 PM CEST.

Topic:

Lecture #02 is focused on the basic principles and prominent applications of Holographic Interferometry non-destructive examination of movable and immovable heritage objects. The invited expert will illustrate the fundamental aspects of the theory and will also present the working principle of the remote access portable custom designed scientific instrument – Digital Holographic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (DHSPI). Some recent real case applications will be shown to illustrate the current advancements and limitations, as well as future potentials of the methodology.

Speaker:

Vivi Tornari is an expert in Optics/Holography/Interferometry and Optical system development, founder of Applied Holographic Metrology for Cultural Heritage and creator of DHSPI-Digital Holographic Speckle Pattern Interferometry portable system.
